The Samara Jan Turkel Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to funding premiere world wide institutions in the clinical treatment and search to find a cure for Pediatric Autoimmune Diseases and increasing the awareness in the medical community and the general public about autoimmune disease treatment.
The Foundation established The Samara Jan Turkel Clinical Center for Pediatric Autoimmune Disease at the Children's Hospital Boston. U.S. News and World Report reported that is the premiere pediatric healthcare and reseach facility in the country.
The Samara Jan Turkel Clinical Center offers diagnosis for complex issues of pediatric autoimmune diseases, treatment solutions, resources to families and understand the strain on the family unit with a chronically ill child. We offer hope by making a better tomorrow today.
In addition, the foundation provides funding to world-renowned researchers in the areas of Pediatric Autoimmune Diseases and provides scholarships to those researchers in the area of autoimmune diseases. Current recipients include the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science, which has done breakthrough research in the area of autoimmune diseases and North Shore-Long Island Jewish Hospital, a leading center in Biomedical and Clinical Reseach where the Foundation funds three laboratories. |
